Yulin Hu

Yulin Hu, regarded as one of the most outstanding players of younger generation of Chinese traditional bamboo flute dizi, is currently working as an Assistant Professor in Music School of Capital Normal University, Beijing. His compositions “Rain from the Heaven?, “Bamboo Words? and “Long for Live? have won hearts of innumerable listeners. He has won the First Prize of National Flute Contest hosted by Ministry of Culture in 2008. He gave a performance of the famous song "Spring comes to Xiang River" in China Central Television Music Channel (CCTV-Music) in 2010. He has performed with great success all over China, Europe, the US and Asia. Yulin Hu also invented some new methods in bamboo flute playing technique, such as sounding with finger holes and playing chords.
