Modern Roots

"Modern Roots" explores modern music through its folk and medieval roots and shows how thin the wall between "old" and "new" can be. With music by Karin Rehnqvist (Sweden), John Cage (U.S), Morton Feldman (U.S) and Axel Borup Jørgensen (Denmark), folksongs and the medieval chant the programme "Modern Roots" shows a broad platform where the voice is being exposed in three different languages and together makes a voyage through folklore, medieval music and contemporary music in an attempt to search for the modern roots.
